They say that you shouldn't wait for perfection before you start your business or pursue your dream. Try telling that to an artist! To be a creative is to be tortured both by the desire to create and the fear of not creating perfectly. Every writing, every sculpture, every painting will always, always be "not quite finished" to the creator of that work. Perhaps it is the unique gift of the successful to not only start but to also finish? To finally step back from their masterpiece and accept it as "done" while ignoring the internal and eternal urge to make one final change.

In business they encourage planning yes but repeatedly teach students of the countless case studies of rich CEOs who will tell you to just START! One guest speaker I recall in my studies told us his personal mantra of "failing" harder which was the process of try, try again to reach success.

My life is littered with such examples. None of which I would change as each led to another grand adventure, lesson or relationship that otherwise would never have existed. And in this spirit I leave even this first blog with the thought that I will not try for perfection here as this is only once piece of the full art, which is my life.
