Who is Candice Day, the Writer?

I have always been a writer and an artist, but the practical side of me said that I needed to make it big in the business world before it would ever be okay to just be A CREATIVE. Necessity to have a “transferrable career “demanded it when I made the decision to step into the life of a military spouse and further cemented my path away from the arts.
Though I toiled through feast and famine of entrepreneurship, my heart was never fully in the product. I began drafting my fictional stories in a journal and sharing excerpts. I authored long articles on my social media about my unique experiences and not just friends, but acquaintances would tell me how much they enjoyed reading my stories.
When the phrase "you should write a book" kept being repeated to me I realized that it was time to share my stories with the world.
I was forged in the mountains of Montana, shaped by the journey of dozens of global adventures and fine-tuned by dedicated education and achievements. I draw on a wealth of life experience from trauma to achievement. I hold a bachelor's in psychology from University of Hawai'i with an emphasis in cognitive and developmental psychology. My master's degree is in business administration with an entrepreneurship certificate from University of Montana. I went on to obtain 2 different state real estate licenses as well as the globally prestigious project management professional certification from Project Management Institute. I have visited 20 countries and 25 states, with residency experience in eight of those states. I was a competitive boxer, Spartan racer and an artist. I live life with a "try it once" approach and enjoyment of food, wine, culture and fun!
My longest adventure and most accomplished has been the raising of my 2 amazing children alongside our mini farm of animals from cats to dogs to chickens and random rescues in between! I thank their father for helping provide us with such broad experiences, economic and emotional support all while balancing his dedicated career serving in the military.
While stepping onto the path of the creative is a pursuit of purpose my real goal is to help others. I want to share the hard lessons; I want to create characters that make people feel seen. So, if my children have something to remember me by, if one person is helped here, then my mission is complete.
